Someone must have gotten close enough to read the slate.
SPECULATION
So fun to see the fans of Victoria Justice and Matt Daddario speculating on what they were shooting on the street.
ON THE ROAD AND IN PURSUIT →
IN PURSUIT
I've been remiss to promote a good series I've had the pleasure to be a part of which you can catch every Weds at 10est on Investigation Discovery. I spent the fall flying all over the country directing verite scenes of Callahan Walsh in pursuit of fugitives wanted for murder and other heinous crimes. Was proud to also oversee all 12 episodes as Supervising Producer and work with my good friends from The Hunt at ZPZ.
Over the years John Walsh's shows have led to over 1200 captures of wanted fugitives and the recovery of over 60 missing children because of viewers calling in tips. Some heartbreaking stories, but a good cause and worth the look. You never know if you might have some info for a tip yourself.
MY STREET ART ADDICTION
Proud to have teamed up with the Street Art Council to create this short form web series. 2 new episodes every Monday night at 10pm.
TWO 2018 TELLY'S!
Happy to share that 2 projects that I directed won 2018 Telly Awards! DeCubellis Films produced the first with the great team at Realclearlife.com. The "Legendary Artist Chuck Close Visits "His" Subway" garnered the gold in the online - cultural category.
The second was a series of 8 testimonial videos produced for and with the wonderful team at Modern States Education Alliance, earned a bronze for Social Video Series - Education.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
At DeCubellis Films we are very excited about 2018. Feels like 2017 was a year where lots of seeds were sewn. I've enjoyed more screenplay writing and development than I every have. 2018 brings a new clearing for those seeds to grow into creative projects that have really captured my imagination.
At a New Year's Eve party I was asking friends what they wanted to do in 2018 - "come hell or high water". It provoked some great responses from "finish my book" to "get organized" to "keep my kids alive". My come hell or high water response was to be shooting the next feature. I believe strongly in the power of the calendar to schedule those visions into reality. There's something about getting a fresh new year to design that is really empowering and exciting to me. You take a deep breath in the abundance of possibility, and then you lower your head and get to work! Wishing you all your 2018 hell or high water journeys to be fun ones.

Good work by distributor Sky Media and by Art Kingdom Agency for getting the word out.
A Note From Denmark
One of the fun things about having a movie released internationally is hearing reactions from very different places. When someone I've never met from a country I've never been to takes the time to send a note saying how much they enjoyed the film, it really makes me smile. Here's a note from such a person that I'm posting to share with cast and crew so they can see this appreciation for their work.
Hello Brian
I've been eagerly waiting for the release of Manhattan Night knowing it would be a very special movie experience - and it most certainly was: It's an absolutely brilliant noir thriller with a beautiful visual style, an amazing cast, a great atmosphere and a gripping story.
You've created a superb and completely unforgettable movie and I’m thrilled to have it in my collection. I've already seen it twice and in fact I'm looking forward to watching Manhattan Night again very soon - I intend to visit this particular world many times.
Having made a movie of this caliber must be extremely satisfying for you.
I´m also extremely excited about the prospect of a new feature project from DeCubellis Films and I sincerely hope you'll make another character-driven thriller since you're a supremely gifted writer/director, born to make these movies.
I wish you all the best.
Kind regards Bjoern Hoegh, Denmark.

Many thanks for that Bjoern. Your note is very appreciated!
